Donation Resources for You!
October 2021: Donation resources for you!
All you have shall someday be given; therefore give now, that the season of giving may be yours and not your inheritors.-Kahlil Gibran
October is traditionally the month BEFORE the giving season, but it’s never too early or late to consider donating items that you are not using. The key words are “not using.” Take a look around your home and see what has the thickest layer of dust and start there. Every little bit helps! Your inheritors will still have plenty to give on your behalf but this will help to lessen the load.
You are Invited:
On Tuesday, October 26th at 1:00, I have been invited to speak to a Women’s group at a synagogue on Rockland Hills Road in Pikesville. The lovely ladies of MMAE have opened their meeting up to my community so please let me know if you would like to attend this free gathering. I’ll talk about downsizing, organizing and answer questions. All are welcome! You must RSVP to me (cindy@aim4order.com) by October 24th so they can have enough chairs ready for all guests. Hope to see you there!
Donation Resources for You!
Many of my clients are concerned about where their items will be donated. After all, these items were purchased, used, loved or not…but most people want to make sure the items are appreciated. I have one client who is willing to donate her husband’s entire wardrobe now that he’s passed, but she wants it to go somewhere meaningful and hasn’t found the right charity yet. Some people do not mind where their items go, as long as it’s a good cause, while others feel the need to wait until the time and place feels right. Sooner is usually better than later, but at the end of the day, one has to feel at peace with where their donations land.
I wanted to share some lesser known donation places just in case one of them sparks your interest and motivates you to give a little more this season.

See if you can gather a bag or two in the next day or two and make someone’s day by dropping it off or having it picked up.
