That seems to be the sentiment of the January Declutter Challenge members. Being with like-minded people working toward a shared outcome proved to surpass our expectations. Read below for an exciting new program being offered – starting now!

Declutter Challenge Club Update

On January 1, 2021, a courageous group of men and women signed up for the January Declutter Challenge. Little did they (or I) know that it would turn into such a supportive, fun and encouraging community of people. Each person received emails throughout the month, filled with up-to-the-minute progress reports from participants (all shared anonymously), along with helpful tips and resources to encourage sustained momentum. Members reported that they were amazed at their willingness to actually get things done and we/I believe that the realistic expectation to eliminate at least 1 item a day was attainable for everyone. Plus, if some folks were late starters or resistant starters, it was never too late to begin. We had people joining all the time….our motto is, and has always been, a little bit is better than no bit.

As a result of the successful progress made by so many, Aim 4 Order is excited to invite you to join The Declutter Challenge Club, a membership community of like-minded people who want to reduce the clutter in their lives on a consistent basis. Most members would like to be DIY people – Declutter It Yourself – but often times get overwhelmed, defeated or sick of it. This is an affordable way to get the help you need so you can

Make it more enjoyable
Have your questions answered along the way
Have a community that ‘gets’ you and cheers you on
Tell others that you are actively working on your clutter issues

Delayed decisions are the number one cause of clutter. Many of you have heard this before and can attest to its accuracy.

Mindset is a hot topic these days and it influences every action or inaction we take. For those who struggle with clutter and indecision, mindset is even more important. If we could wave a magic wand and become decisive, that would be ideal…but since we are all out of magic wands right now, let’s look at some ways to reframe our thoughts when we approach getting organized in our personal lives.

Try one of these mindset matters on for size:

I can do one thing today to reduce my clutter. I don’t have to tackle my whole house, my whole room or even a whole drawer. I can start small and find one thing and sit with the feeling of accomplishing my goal for today.
If I were to leave this earth today, what would my family appreciate having? Think about your accumulated possessions (back issues of magazines, towels, vases, etc) and consider whether those items would be appreciated or would be a burden?
Who do I trust to help me be accountable to reach my goals? I can tell this person what I plan to do each day or week so I can see progress rather than being stuck.
